The 2024 marked a period of growth and consolidation for omegaUp, reaffirming its commitment to promoting programming education and strengthening the technological community across Mexico and Latin America.

Throughout the year, omegaUp expanded its digital presence through new audiovisual initiatives:

• The omegaTech Podcast and My Story Programming 2024 series, published on YouTube and Facebook, increased community engagement and visibility.

• Promotional campaigns for the Programming Clubs and Coding Cup 2024 attracted new members and boosted event participation.

• Coverage of the visit to Google included short videos and summaries that further enhanced omegaUp’s digital presence.
   

International Participation: EGOI 2024
Mexico achieved an outstanding performance at the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI), held in Veldhoven, Netherlands. The national team earned one silver and one bronze medal, ranking 28th globally and 2nd in the Americas.
 

3rd Mexican Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (OFMI 2024)
The OFMI 2024 brought together 650 participants from 27 states, fostering an inclusive environment for competitive programming. A total of 37 medals were awarded (6 gold, 16 silver, and 15 bronze), with top-performing states including Durango, Yucatán, Sonora, Michoacán, Veracruz, Guanajuato, Morelos, and the State of Mexico.
 

Programming Clubs Initiative
This program aims to teach Python and C++ across educational institutions nationwide. In 2024, key achievements included:

• 13 classes delivered and 50 students participating in the first online contest.

• Contact established with 29 institutions, with 23 confirming continued participation in the program.
